Molina Provides Columbia Children with New Shoes and Books

Molina Healthcare of South Carolina recently joined forces with CrownCARES, the Carolina Crown Organization’s outreach and philanthropic arm, to host a summer giveaway event at Hyatt Park. Molina and CrownCARES provided approximately 100 children from the City of Columbia’s summer camps with free shoes, socks and grade-appropriate books.
The youth who received books and shoes were predetermined, but everyone in the community was invited to attend. Children and their families enjoyed a popcorn machine and live entertainment from DJMcC, a local 10-year-old artist. They also had the opportunity to participate in fun activities such as a photo booth, a corn hole game and a hula hoop station.
